Meet Mon

Founder
Clinical Midwife Specialist / Registered Nurse Childbirth Educator

Mon founded The Middee Society in 2021 after recognising the challenges of the fast-paced public maternity system, which often left parents feeling unprepared. Her mission is to empower women and their support networks in a fun, informative, and realistic way.

Currently practicing in one of Melbourne's leading obstetric hospitals, Mon cares for women across all aspects of pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum, from low-risk to high-risk cases. She also has experience in the Special Care Nursery, caring for premature and unwell babies.

Described by parents as bright, bubbly, passionate and funny, Mon has collaborated with some of Australia’s biggest baby brands. She is a well-known figure in the maternity world, frequently speaking at major pregnancy events and serving as the Resident Midwife for One Fine Baby and Baby Bunting. Mon’s goal is to equip women and their supporters with the tools to advocate for the labour and birth experience they desire. Outside of woking in the hospital and teaching birth classes you can find Mon spending time with her family, friends & dogs.

Mon is our Childbirth Educator at Braeside, Melbourne + Crows Nest, Sydney.

Meet Amy

Founder of Middee ED / Paediatric Emergency Nurse

Amy is a currently practising Paediatric Emergency Nurse with over a decade of experience caring for unwell and injured children across leading hospitals in Melbourne, Sydney, and the UK. A Mum of two herself, Amy brings a calm, practical and empowering approach to teaching parents how to confidently respond in an emergency.

She created Middee ED – our baby and child first aid program – after seeing first-hand how many parents leave hospital without the basic skills or knowledge to manage both common & urgent health situations at home. Her mission is to change that.

Amy is passionate about making first aid education realistic, engaging and accessible. Her classes are filled with real life examples, practical advice and plenty of hands on learning – with a few laughs along the way.
